How to achieve synchronized synergy between “technology” and “logistics” was one of the key topics and focal points of discussion among experts and entrepreneurs at this Logistics Technology Innovation Conference. Through the forum and dialogue sessions, participants developed a deeper understanding of potential solutions and concrete measures to address this critical issue.
With the widespread adoption of information, automation, and intelligent technologies in logistics, an intelligent transformation is emerging as a new driving force for the industry’s upgrading and restructuring, as well as a powerful engine for reshaping the logistics ecosystem. According to Zhang Yan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Port and Logistics Office, in recent years, technologies such as the Global Positioning System, Geographic Information Systems, big data, cloud computing, smart warehousing, intelligent sorting, and RFID electronic tags have been steadily deployed across logistics enterprises in the province, propelling Sichuan’s logistics sector toward a transformation from labor‑intensive to knowledge‑ and technology‑intensive operations.
“The advancement of technology has brought about profound transformations in the logistics industry,” said Zhang Lili, Deputy General Manager of Delin Land Port (Anshan) Co., Ltd. Drawing on the company’s development journey, she elaborated on how technological empowerment has accelerated the transformation and upgrading of the logistics sector.
“Traditionally, the logistics industry relied on three key production factors: capital, resources, and labor. However, with the advent of technology, these have expanded to include technological innovation and human talent,” says Zhang Lili. She notes that, supported by cutting-edge technology, the company has developed a suite of offerings—including Delin Changtu, Delin Cloud Warehouse, Delin Smart Park, and Delin e‑Bao—while leveraging e‑commerce platforms to drive traffic and integrate diverse business models across its ecosystem, thereby fostering a “co‑evolving ecosystem.”
Technological advancements have brought about profound changes in logistics and transportation, further narrowing the spatial and temporal gaps in resource allocation. Experts and business leaders at the conference generally agree that technology is driving a seismic transformation in the logistics sector. Only through continuous technological innovation can logistics truly accelerate, better serving consumers, enhancing everyday life, and fostering the growth of the logistics industry and related sectors.

Logistics-driven
Leading High-Quality Economic Development
Modern logistics shortens the spatial and temporal distances in resource allocation, fosters seamless connectivity across the entire industrial supply chain, and achieves optimal resource distribution and cost minimization, thereby enabling efficient, high‑quality, and economically sustainable industrial development.
“In the future, pure logistics will no longer exist; instead, it will become increasingly intertwined with the supply chain and closely integrated with finance, commerce, warehousing, transportation, systems, and data,” says Yun Mian, Vice President of the China Logistics Association and Chief Operating Officer of Tianjin Delide Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. In his view, modern logistics is an inseparable component of the entire supply chain and industrial chain, and it constitutes the most critical link in driving high-quality economic development.
How does modern logistics influence production relations and thereby enhance productivity? According to Qiao Xiaoqiang, a senior expert in innovative business at JD Logistics Group, data is the most critical factor of production in intelligent logistics. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and digital twin systems can all boost productivity, enabling logistics to achieve high-quality development and, in turn, driving high‑quality economic growth.
Technology‑driven logistics is transforming the workforce, and CJ Logistics Supply Chain Co., Ltd. has been proactively exploring this shift. As early as one or two years ago, the company developed robots tailored to various stages of the logistics process. According to Zheng Quanjun, the company’s deputy general manager, tasks such as sorting, order picking, and handling high‑risk shelving are now being handled by robots.
Everyone shares a common sentiment: it is logistics that connects the entire industrial and supply chains, enabling the optimal and efficient allocation of resources and, in turn, driving high-quality economic development across the board.
